Thirty six members of the public can have their mugshots featured in a one-off print, designed by Henry Holland for Debenhams, in a quirky, new competition.
Holland, 26, the young designer responsible for relaunching the ‘slogan T-shirt’, and the best friend of the New York-based, Mancunian cover girl and catwalk star, Agyness Deyn, who models in his shows, intends to use the winning three dozen faces as a graphic motif on a clutch-bag and scarf, in his high summer, H! by Henry Holland collection for the chain.

From today, (January 20th), Debenhams will be accepting photographic entries. Fans can enter the competition by uploading a shot of themselves to a group on the photographic social network, Flickr, or by emailing their mugshots to Debenhams before the end of January.

The new ‘faces’ clutch and scarf will go on sale in 60 Debenhams stores nationwide, in July. It will be preceded, in March, by the launch of the full H! by Henry Holland collection, which is aimed at the 17-25 year old market, and priced between £5 and £60.
Debenhams’ collaboration with Holland is the latest in a long list of ‘designer marriages’, dating back to 1996 when the chain launched its first J by Jasper Conran collection. Designers working with Debenhams today include Betty Jackson, John Rocha, Matthew Williamson, Ben De Lisi, Pip Hackett, Pearce Fionda, Janet Reger, Melissa Odabash, Erickson Beamon and FrostFrench.
